Tara is a Juno Nominee and winner of the CCMA Rising Star . Her new album Video, 1929, was shot in the spring of 2011 on Sycamore Cove Beach outside of Malibu, California and was been on CMT Canada.
Her first album entitled, CHASING THE SUN, earned her 3 top15 Canadian Country Singles and racked up numerous awards including a 2009 Juno nomination for Country Album of the Year, an ECMA win for Country Recording of the Year, and the coveted Rising Star Award at the 2009 CCMA Awards. The Newfoundland Hearld bestowed Tara with the Entertainer of the Year in 2008. She had the honor to perform at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Tara was the top 6th finalist in Canadian Idol in 2007. She opened for Taylor Swift in 2010 at the Cavendish Music Festival in P.E.I.before 35,000 people.
Tara is spokesperson for th Sparkles of Hope campaign and was influential in the sales of over 2 million dollars in bracelets for this very important foundation.Tara's music is inspired by her family, and is a celebration of her small town roots. She is also influenced by many established artists such as Rosanne Cash, Marty Stuart and Dwight Yoakam.
