Hal Bruce former leader of the great East Coast Band, Hired Hand, and a 9 time Award Winner as a Canadian, has disbanded his band in 2002 and gone solo. He now focuses on concerts, festivals, club dates and touring. His extensive repertoire of music contains rock'n roll, folk, country and original music. Hal has been touring and performing for a number of years, and to those who know him and attended his outstanding shows, knows that Hal was directly influenced by the Beatles Music and they have inspired his music dramatically.


For the past 2 years, Hal was invited to perform at International Beatle Week in Liverpool, England, and he was so popular, that he was invited back to perform in August 2002, his third consecutive year. This Aug, 2002, he has been invited to perform at the famous Havelock Jamboree in Ontario. In Liverpool, England at Beatle Week 2001, Hal, the only Canadian Artist, received encore after encore at every venue he performed at, along with 50 other acts, and Hal was the only solist. He is labeled as The Carvern's Very Best Friend.

In 2001 he won the Golden Note Award in Beaumont, Texas for songwriting. Recently, Hal released his 5th album entitled, In My Life, an Acoustic tribute to the Music of The Beatles. The album is breathtaking and contains 16 songs that brings the audience back remembering the Beatles as they were back in the 60's.

Hal's career began in 1986, when he won a talent search contest out of 36 contestants and placed well at Nationals in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He then released his first album entitled, The First Time, in 1988. Since then, he has been performing steadily across the country with his shows packed with people where ever he performs.One of his biggest thrills, was to open for the Beach Boys in 1989 in New Brunswick before 70,000 people. He has made several TV appearances, and opened for such artists as; The Judds, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Pride, Steve Wariner, Patty Loveless to name a few.
