Owen Michael Riegling born 1998 is a Canadian country music singer and

songwriter. He is currently signed to Universal Music Canada and has charted

singles, Love (The Sweater Song), Old Dirt Roads and Mooshines.

He grew up on a 100-acre farm in Mildmay, Ontario. He began paying guitar

at 11 years old after receiving as a Christmas gift. Michael initially attended

business college but realized he enjoyed playing music more.

Since then, he never looked back.

In August 2022, he won the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist showcase contest

securing him a single release with Universal Music Canada, songwriting sessions

and a trip to Nashville.

After singing with Universal a record deal in June 2023and released his debut

single, Love, The Sweater Song.

In October 2023, he was an opening act for American country artist, Tyler Hubbard

on his solo headlining tour in Canada and this followed for other Canadian Music

artists.

He was nominated in four categories at the 2024 Canadian Country Music Awards

and won Breakthrough Artist of the year and songwriter of the year.

In the fall of 2024, Owen embarked on his debut headlining tour across Canada.

Juno 2024 he was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

At the 2025 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards on June 1 in Hamilton, Ontario,

he was nominated for 6 awards and he won 5 awards for Single, Album, Male Artist,

Songwriter and Fans Choice.

Owen is on his way for Stardom, no doubt about it.
