Canada's famous band, The Carlton Showband was honored on

March 15, 2024 in Brampton, Ontario with a Star on Brampton's

Walk of Fame.

What an incredible honor received by Canada's most famous bands!

The original showband was formed in 1963 and disbanded in 1996.

They travelled and performed across Canada for over 30 years.

A new group, The New Carlton Showband was assembled in 2010

and performed for a number of years.

The original band released 27 albums and had 19 singles on radio.

They won a Juno in 1975 for Country Group and nominated again

in 1980 and 1981.

The band was featured on the CBC TV show, Pig & Whistle from

1967 to 1977.

A 25th Anniversary CD was released in March 2021.
