MusicPEI 2024 held its annual Awards Week on March 6-10

to rave reviews. Thanks to the hard working Committee who

staged this event in making it so successful. Ron Oakie

(Executive Director) and his staff certainly deserve a lot

of credit for staging such a successful event.

This edition of Music PEI Week is once again the largest annual

celebration od PEI's music, and it was proud to celebrate the

creators and achievements of the Island's community.

One of MusicPEI Highlights of the week was the songwriters

showcase which was held at St Paul Anglican Church in

Charlottetown on March 9 to a full house. The show was hosted by

CBC'sMatt Rainne and featured artists were: Dylan Menzie

Lawrence Maxwell-Lennie Gallant and The Easst Pointers.

The songwriter of the Year was Dylan Menzie announced during

the showcase.

Other showcases were held throughout Charlotttown and one in

Souris during the week.

The Awards Show was held on Sunday evening March 10 to

almost a full house at the Confederation Theatre.

Many of the artists performing during the awards ceremony

were Lennie Gallant, Patricia Richard, Jenn Grant, Tara MacLean,

Nadia, Tiffany Liu and many more.
