By John Gavin, Wednesday, October 13, 2021

ASKarenRobinsonWhenWereTogetherNo3.jpgKaren Robinson is a Halifax based singer/songwriter who released her fifth album, When We're Together on September 4, 2021.

The album is an acknowledgment of how much we need to be together. Through lockdowns and restrictions, the band relished the music process and developed new skills for arranging and editing virtually.

As with her previous original songs these songs shine with unique phrases and melodies that are sure to draw listeners in. Karen assembled a group of talented musicians to bring her written words to life on this album namely:

Larry Bjornson-David Burton-Dave Staples

Holly Arsenault-Chris Mitchell-Danny Martin-John

Campbelljohn-JP Cormier, Gina Burgess-Harnish Gordon

and Marie-Neige Dupuis-Carbonneau.

There are 13 tracks on the album and here are the titles:

The End of Time-Feather and Bone-I'm Hoping You Do

City Birds-Breath-Sings Her Heart Out-Nothing To It

The Night the Lights Went Out-Autumn Wind- A Song

for Mississippi John Hurt-Gamecock and His Hen-Stories

and Wine (When We're Together-Delay is Not an Option.

No doubt the whole album has a classical Jazz/Blues feeling

and Karen's outstanding voice adds so much to this great

album. What a fine easy-listening album and one can listen

to this album for hours! A point of interest, Karen's song

on this album, A Song for Mississippi John Hurt was a top-10 runner-up in the World Songwriting Awards Spring 2021 in the Blue Category. As well it was just announced, the song Feather and Bone is a top-10 contender for the World songwriting awards-summer best jazz song.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album a full 5 star rating out of 5 stars. To purchase this album, refer to Karen's above posted website.
