Diane Leigh Enters the CCMA 2015 Hall of Fame
A Canadian Country Music Legend

Diane Leigh, Canadian Country Music Legend, became the CCMA 2015 newest member of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in September 2015.

Diana at 74 years old, is a Toronto native, and now lives in Buckhorn, Ontario for the past 40 years. She has been recognized as one of the first Canadian country female artists to achieve national recognitions with awards and television exposure.

Here are some of the many highlights of her career:

*In 1963, Diane recorded her first solo session in Nashville

*Her career spanned 2 decades & first performed as a featured vocalist at 19 years old. She earlier performed with Toronto pop group, The Sapphires, and the Western group, Sons of The Saddle.

*She performed at the world famous, Grand Ole Opry in Nashville & The Golden Nugget in Las Vagas.

*Diane was the first receipent of the Gold Leaf Award (Juno's) for Best Female Country Artist in 1970, and won 4 consecutive Gold Leaf Awards from 1966-1969 for top Female Country Artist.

*Diane made five albums, including one gospel album and one Christmas album.

*On the TV circuit she was a regular on the Country Music Hall, hosted by Carl Smith which ran from 1964-1969 and in the 1970's she was a co-host on the CHCH-TV series, THE HARRY HIBBS SHOW and she recorded for Ray Griff's Global Television series.

*Diane toured Canada, parts of the United States and entertained troops in Germany.

*In 1994, music trade publication RPM considered Diane the ninth top Canadian country artist of the past 30 years.

*In September 2015 in Halifax, N.S. she was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
