The album is a ten song tribute to his jukebox heroes of the 1950's. These songs survived for 60 years because they are great works by great artists Terry noted. He referred to his parents record collection and he has always appreciated music from before his time and has an intimate knowledge of the rock and roll era. Terry has listened to this music for almost 40 years and at this point in his life the artists from back then, he feels they are like old friends of his.
Terry does not copy the original song versions, but rather envoke the 1950' s vibe of each song, while leaving his mark on them. Penney's musical range is on full display here as he moves from Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers, Johnny Cash to Elvis.
What an amazing album comments John Gavin of Atlantic Seabreeze! One can listen to this album over and over again. This album deserves high praise from the music industry and I can predict many music nominations from MusicNL and ECMA.
Here are the song titles:
Sweet Little Sixteen - Blue Moon Medley - Get Rhythm
Let it Be - Crying, Waiting, Hoping - Lonesome Town
Honey Don't - It's A Sin - Trouble - Maybe Baby
This album is a winner all the way, and Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album 5 stars out of 5 stars.
