Carol Holyoke, music artist (Piano and Accordion) from Fredericton, New Brunswick recently released her debut CD entitled, COLLAGE.

After years of performing, recording and touring with solo artists and bands, Carloyn has stepped forward to produce her own CD recording of Collage. She has performed all over the world and performed at the world-renowned festival in Cavan, Ireland and the International Nova Scotia Tattoo and kept a full schedule since retiring from a successful career as a music educator in Fredericton, NB. Her playing experience with ECMA nomonees Kathleen Gorey-McSorley, Derrick Miller and various Celtic musicians have given her the momentum to complete her own CD project.

Collage is a culmination of Carolyn's performing, writing and arranging skills wrapped up in a package that includes many of her friends and musicians she has collaborated with over the years. The CD reflects her passion and experience in the Celtic world and has been equally comfortable with other genres.

The CD contains 15 tracks and here are the titles:

The Miramichi Connection - Mysie MacDonald - Off To Dublin

Red Haired Reverie - Hard Times - Rob's Rag

Kathleen Margaret Rachel - O'Carolan's Concerto - Simple Gifts

Reel Latino - Down By The Salley Gardens - Cape Breton Set

Ye Banks and Ye Braes - Cunla - Pipe Jigs

The CD features her Celtic leanings with the talents of eighteen other predominantly New Brunswick artists such as Chris Freeman, Susan Kennific, Derrick Paul Miller, Gerry McAlister, Kathleen Gorey-McSorley , Kimberley Fraser to name a few.

The CD is a masterpiece says Atlantic Seabreeze and is just a wonderful CD to listen to. A 5 star rating all the way out of 5 stars. A special note on one of the tracks, entitled, Ye Banks and Ye Braes. It features Matilda Murdock, a 93 year old fiddler and composer who plays fiddle on this track with Carolyn on piano.

The attractive CD jacket includes explanations for each track, why it was included and who is featured on the track along with Carolyn. The CD would be a welcome to anyone's music library, and a joy to listen to.
