Dave Gunning, from Pictou County, Nova Scotia, just released in September 2009 his seventh album entitled, We're All Leaving. This incredible album contains 11 songs, all of which he wrote with several co-writers. His ability to tell a story in his songs has resulted in six Music Nova Scotia awards and three East Coast Music Awards in the past, and now with this new CD, there will be no exceptions.

A number of Canada's finest composers helped Dave to write all the songs and include; Jamie Robinson, John Meir, James Keelaghan, David Francey, Rose Cousins and Karine Polwart.

Here are the song titles:

Smith's Rock-The Colour of Gone-Made On A Monday

Before The Morning Sun-There's a Song In There-Ashen Town

Big Shoes-Something I'm Missing-As Far As This Town Goes

We're All Leaving-Sorry For The City

The attractive CD jacket contains all words for each of the 11 songs.

Dave choose a number of talented Musicians and back-up vocalists for his project and include: Jamie Robinson, Jami Gatti, Bruce Dixon, Kim Dunn, Adam Dowling, Julian Marentette, Bruce Guthro, Rose Cousins, Sara Delong Gunning and Dave Gunning.

The CD was produced by Jamie Robinson. Gunning's musical mind is piled high with song ideas and always able to find the right turn of phrase or melodic twist that makes a perfect fit. He has the ability to take a familiar story and make it fresh for listeners one more time.

This easy listening CD is very appealing to the listener, and it makes you wait to the next song to hear what's it all about. The composed music is very attached to each song and a joy to listen to.

Atlantic Seabreeze rates this album with 5 stars out of the possible 5 stars ratings. To find more information about this CD and others by Dave, check his website, adddress posted above.
