ASDollyPartonThoseWereThoseDays.jpg Dolly Parton, Country Music Superstar, has just released her new CD entitled, THOSE WERE THE DAYS in September 2005 from Sugarhill Records. And what a fine CD it is! The CD contains 12 songs, all cover songs that Dolly always wanted to record. To bring the CD to a reality, she circled herself with a number of outstanding music artists from Nashville, USA, and they all helped her with the outstanding CD. Here are the song titles with her special guests:

Those Were The Days-with Mary Hopkin, Porter Wagoner and the Opry Gang

Blowin' In The Wind-with Nickel Creek

Where Have All The Flowers Gone-with Norah Jones and Lee Ann Womack

Twelfth of Never-with Keith Urban

Where Do The Children Play-with Ysuf Islam (Cat Stevens)

Me and Bobby McGee-with Kristofferson

Crimson and Clover-with Tommy James

The Cruel War-with Alison Krauss, Mindy Smith and Don Tyuminski

Turn, Turn, Turn-with Roger McGuinn

If I Was A Carpenter-with Joe Nichols

Both Sides Now-with Judy Collins and Rhonda Vincent

Imagine-with David Foster

To make this CD, Dolly had the big idea to produce a CD of some of the songs from the 60's and 70's that she loved and that have touched her deeply in one way or another and wanted to have these artists who made the songs hits, sing with here on each of the songs. She mixed some of the newer artists and the older ones as well, to make the CD very special. This album is rated very high on Atlantic Seabreeze ratings, and Dolly's fans are in for a treat with this album. It can be picked up at your favourite music store.
