Johnny Oliver is a singer/songwriter from Summerside, P.E.I. He has been singing and performing his original songs for 20 years. After building up a life time of original music, he decided to take his talents to the studio. The debut album was released in May 2008 and the CD name was THE REASON. It was inspired by a true story about Christmas Daddies Telethon and how it began. The album shows the versatility by which Johnny writes and show where his influences come from. He has a very strong background in country music, and sings blues, folk rock and some bluegrass. He grew up with the sounds of Merle Haggard, Travis Tritt, George Thorogood, Bob Segar and many others.

Johnny has his own country band called, The Johnny D'S and includes his 2 daughters, Dallas and Dakota. A Film was produced out of Montreal called, Looking For Anne, and 3 of his songs were featured in the movie, taken from his CD, The Reason. He received two nominations at the 2009 Music PEI Awards, as Male vocalist and country recording of the year.

Staying true to his belief, his music is now placed in the music industry supporting his desire to continue to produce his original material. Johnny went back into the studio to produce his second album entitled, I'M NOT UP FOR SALE, recorded at Guernsey Cove Parlour Productions with Gordon Belsher.

The album has a great choice of country songs and stayed close to his roots in country music. The CD title, I'm Not Up For Sale, the song itself Johnny sings a heartfelt ballad about on how far a man can fall and still stand tall and hold onto his pride. In January 2010, Johnny's CD, I'm Not Up For Sale, was nominated for a Music PEI Music Award in the Bluegrass/country recording category.
