Ben Gallant is a 20 year old singer/songwriter, musician and entertainer from Tignish/Palmer Road area in P.E.I.

Ben is a rising star in the making and he just released his debut country album entitled, Down The Road containing 10 song songs, of which he wrote 8 of them. Atlantic Seabreeze gave this album rave revues and forsees great happenings to Ben in the years to come.

He has performed all across PEI, from one of the Island to the other. He performs in pubs, bars, house parties, wedding ceremonies and dances and does country, classic rock, folk and pop music.

Ben comes from a very talented musical family. His grandfather, Alphie Perry who is band leader and singer for his popular band, Shiloh and a nephew to popular PEI artist Peggy Clinton a well- known PEI singer and entertainer.

At the age of 13, Ben entered his first PEI Mutual Talent Competition and then moved to the Provincial finals and won. He then went to London, Ontario and became the youngest youth to date to represent PEI in the National Youth Talent competions, where he ranked 2nd in vocalists ages 13-21.

Shortly after the Competition, Ben began playing gigs at age 15. He then improved with experience as he worked for Hope Studio (West Prince) and this experience helped him to be a bass player and a harmony vocalist.

After graduating from Westisle high school, and took up a hobby of song writing and as a result, he released his debut album entitled, Down The Road and released in June 2016. The album is a variety of country/folk genre. Ben is very excited for people to hear the album and what he is capable of as a musician, songwriter and vocalist.

Ben moved from PEI to Edmonton, Alberta in December 2016 to persue his musical career. Since then, he changed his name from Ben Gallant to a stage name, Ben Chase

UPDATE AS OF JANUARY 19, 2019:

Ben's new debut single, ALL OVER IT, hit #1 on the Canadian Country iTunes Charts on the day it was released January 4, 2019.

The song was featured on the Casey Clarke Country Showdown Show on radio across Canada as the Next Big Thing.

He performed at Alberta's largest Country Music Festivals in 2018, Big Valley Jamboree and Country Thunder in Calgary. He opened for Major Country acts: Sawyer Brown, George Canyon and Dan + Shay in 2018. He showcased at the 2018 CCMA Awards Week in Hamilton, Ontario and performed on Broadway in Nashville, TN. He has over 20,000 active followers on social media.

Besides his nominations and awards in PEI he was 2017 ACMA Male Artist of the Year nominee. He has released his first single to Canadian radio in January 2019, with plans to release two singles before summer 2019 along with a national radio tour promoting his music.

UPDATE AS OF FEBRARY 2024:

Ben released his new CD entitled That Was Then, This Is Now in 2023 and he has received a MusicPEI 2024 nomination for The Rooted To The Island Award and 2 nominations for ECMA 2024 for the same album, Country Album of the Year and Video of the Year (Saltwater Cowboy). He is currently on tour opening for country music star BRETT KISSEL throughout Ontario and in the Maritimes. Ben had been busy writing songs in Nashville for the last 2 years and is based in Calgary where he has many shpws lined up, and is booked to perform at Cavendish Beach Festival in PEI in July 2024.
