David Olney Folksinger Passes Away at age 71

David Olney, folksinger/writer from Nashville has passed away in Florida January 18, 2020 at age 71.

Olney was a revered figure in folk/rock in Americana. He was performing at the Santa Rosa Beach Festival in Florida.

During his performance while singing, felled silent said sorry and dropped his head and never woke up as he passed away with his guitar in his hand, sitting on his stool.

David has released over 25 albums throughout his 30 years in music and recently he released another album in 2020 entitled, THIS SIDE OR THE OTHER.

Many of his songs were covered by Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Del McCoury , Steve Earle and many others.

He was due to attend this coming weekend in New Orleans at the annual Folk Festival with many performances scheduled.
