Ryan's Fancy Fans are in for a treat. A new CD entitled What A Time! Volume 2 has recently been released. Band members are Fergus O'Byrne, the late Dermot O'Reilly and Denis Ryan.

Band members immigrated from Ireland to Newfoundland in 1971 and produced 13 albums from 1969-1983. In 2004, they were awarded the Dr. Helen Creighton Award at the ECMA's for The Lifetime Achievement Award. Dermot O'Reilly, band member, passed away on Feb 17, 2007 at age of 64.

This CD is another collection of recordings from the legendary Ryan's Fancy. It follows the release six years ago of What A Time! Volume 1, a 40 year retrospective double CD set of material selected from 13 LP's that Ryan's Fancy recorded during its short but productive career as a band. The CD spent several months in the Top 100 selling recordings in Canada the year after it was released, a notable achievement for a folk music recording.

Volume 2 is a single CD with 22 tracks, interest is high and pre-release sales are soaring. Some samples of song titles are: Molly Bawn-Leaving London-The Wreck of the Anna Maria-Harbour Le Cou-The Bluenose-The Galway Shawl-I'm A Rover-The Manchester Rambler-Glimpse of Heaven-The Boston Burglar and 12 more. These songs are the band's best loved songs.

The CD was produced by band member, Fergus O'Byrne. Ryan's Fancy is one of the most influenced folk groups of all time. They perform a mix of traditional Irish ballads and tunes with songs from Newfoundland, Australia and America.

This CD is a must for music lovers and Atlantic Seabreeze gives this outstanding CD a full 5 star+ rating out of 5 stars.

The CD is available now wherever fine folk music is sold. For further information, please contact Fergus O'Byrne at above posted above.
