Shannon was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and has been performing as a fiddler/vocalist for the past 16 years. In 2016 Shannon won Roots Traditional Album of the Year & New Artist Recording of the year at the Music Nova Scotia Awards, and has also been nominated for two Canadian Folk Music Awards.

She achieved her music degree from the renowned Humber College in Toronto and has for the past two years been touring internationally with the award winning Scottish group The Paul McKenna Band.

Shannon released a new CD in 2015 entitled, If All The Young Ladies and it has been nominated for 2 ECMA 2017 Music Awards for Rising Star and Roots/Traditional Recording of The Year.

The CD contains 10 tracks and here are the titles:

Blackbirds and Thrushes - The Quiet Man - Creggan White Hare

The Constant Lovers - Joelle's - The Fish and The Bird

Matt Hyland - Midnight Flight - Come Rain or Come Shine

Captain Jack

The CD gives the listener a variety of fiddling by Shannon and some nice song ballads with her velvet voice says Atlantic Seabreeze, We give the album a 5 star rating out of 5 stars. We can forsee many more nominations and awards for this album.
