Michael T. moved to Toronto in 1961 from his hometown of Cornrer Brook and still to this day he is continuing to promote and sing Traditional Country Music. He is a living legend and always wears his trademark (The Singing Newfoundlander and the outline map of Newfoundland constantly promoting Newfoundland).
On September 4, 2016, he received the 2016 Living Legend Award for his lifetime involvement of performing, teaching, sharing, creating, promoting and producing traditional country music in USA.
