The duo from New Brunswick charmed the East Coast with their debut album. The first single release entitled, Ain't Dead Yet, the album builds on their signature blend of high energy foot stompers and traditional folk.
Their playing together is top notch, and a great balance between a fun album and a serious one. The album is a live approach and brings some of Atlantic Canada's top bluegrass players together in the studio for a foot stomping session.
The album contains 11 tracks and here are the titles:
Ain't Dead Yet - I Go Where You Go - Steal Ya - Lemon Pie
I Never Knew Her Name - Peg Leg Joe - Runnin' Like Hell
The Best We'll Ever Know - Everything You Need - Back To Eden
Rabbit In The Log
Musicians on the CD were:
Ray Legere, fiddle, madolin, guitar, solo
Dillon Robichaud, banjo
Andrew Sneddon, dobro
Remi Arsenault, bass, and vocals
Mark Hill, guitar
Kaitlyn Raitz, cello
The album was produced and recorded by John McLaggan at Porchlight Studios. All songs were written by John McLaggan except the song, Rabbit in a Log (traditional).
This CD is really different and with Lisa on washboard with a cymbal nailed to it, really adds a lot of great percussion, which sets the duo apart from other Maritime acts.
A great listening CD and the music & song will make the listener want to get up and dance says Atlantic Seabreeze. A well-deserved 5 star rating out of 5 stars on its ratinglist.
