David Leask, singer/songwriter from Mississauga, Ontario has recently released in May 2016 a new CD entitled, The Clark Hall Sessions. David is originally from Scotland and moved to Canada 24 years ago.

David's parents met at the historic Clarke Memorial Hall 72 years ago, and it was quite fitting that he do the CD recording at this Hall. The Hall has a great atmosphere both accoustically and historically. There's a sense of ghosts, personal and otherwise, in the place, David notes.

Helping David with the music were, Juno Award-winning musicians Justin Abedin (Jack Soul) with his electric guitar and Sean O'Connor (NOJO) with a whistle, flute and a couple of saxophones. Almost all the songs-a rich mix of country/americana and Celtic soul -were recorded live off the floor in one freewheeling take at the Clarke Memorial Hall in Port Credit, Ontario.

There are 12 songs on the album, produced by David and here are the song titles:

The Good Fight - Working On Faith - River Road - Blow Over

While I Still Breathe - Meant To Be - You & I & The Universe

Roger Sherlock's Dream/Into The Mystic - Photosynthesis

Stronger In Broken Places - All My Love - Ancestors' Eyes

All tracks were written by David except the song, Roger Sherlock's Dream/Into the Mystic by V. Morrison. In what could be described as David's Trinity Sessions, the music captures not just his diversity and quality as a songwriter but his essence as a highly seasoned performer who has played more than 2,500 shows since he moved to Canada.

This album is of one of a kind, and a great one to listen one, says Atlantic Seabreeze and a welcome edition to anyone's music library. We give the album a full 5 star rating out of 5 stars. The Toronto Star says Leask brings to his music a compellingly honest baring of the soul.
