Dawn Sears, singer with The popular group, The Time Jumpers, has passed away on December 11, 2014 in Gallatin, Tenn at age 53. She passed away with lung cancer after battling the disease for 2 years.

Dawn had performed every Monday night with The Time Jumpers, a world class group made up of 10 musicians at The Station Inn, in Nashville, Tenn. She always appeared on stage with dignity and class and got standing ovations after every song she sang. She seemed to cast a spell over the audience while singing, with her smooth beautiful voice and she never missed a note.

The band including Dawn, received 4 Grammy Nominations in various categories in the past. Her husband Kenny Sears plays fiddle in the band.

In addition to her appearances with the band, she also performed with Vince Gill and his touring band as well performed harmony with Tracy Byrd, Ronnie Mislap, Jim Lauderdale, Patty Loveless, Merle Haggard and others.

Her voice and appearances will never be forgotten as she was a star in her own right.

In October, 2014, Reba MacIntyre headlined a Sears Benefit, raising more than $100,000 for lung cancer research.

Dawn is survived by her husband Kenny and a daughter Tess. Funeral arrangements to follow.
