Maxim Cormier, is an award winning guitarist from Cheticamp, Cape Breton, N.S. His latest CD is titled Maxim Cormier, released in May 2014. It was recorded at Studio FMP in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

It features the music of J.S. Bach, Leo Brouwer, Miles Davis, Jerry Holland and Dino Olivieri as well as several original compositions and collaborations with his father, Gervais Cormier.

There are 10 tracks on the CD, and Maxim's original works are largely comprised of acoustic guitar that highlights a cotemporary, modern approach to otherwisw classic sounds.

Musicians on the CD on various tracks were: Gervais Cormier, bass , guitar, harmonica - Ben Marmen, cello - Chuck Bucket, drums, percussion - Andy Cormier, trumpet - Scott Ferguson, drums - Ian MacMillan, drums - Rankin MacInnis, pipes - Cassie MacDonald, fiddle - Zeph Caissie, steps.

This CD is tops in guitar musicianship by Maxim says John of Atlantic Seabreeze and gives this album top ratings on its rating list with 5 stars out of 5 stars.
