Erin Costelo, jazz singer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, released her new CD entitled, We Can Get Over, in 2013 and it received 2 ECMA 2014 nominations: R & B /Soul Recording of the Year and Producer of the Year . As a result the album won R & B/Soul Recording of the Year.

It is no surprise that Erin won, because the album is a gem says Atlantic Seabreeze. She was inspired to produce the album by her love of old soul, 60's groups and classic arranging, and she takes listeners on a journey of heart, soul and transcendence.

Erin is an accomplished musician and arranger has toured North America, scored performances with Symohony Nova Scotia and the Blue Engine String Quartet. On her latest release, Costelo brings all her influences and experience together in the role of producer. We Can Get Over is a record of spirit, colour, and sass. Her voice blends with lush string and horn arrangements and playful backup singers.

Here are the 10 song titles:

Oh Me Oh My - Count To 10 - Give A Little - Too Young To Be Fooled - Everybody Wants To Be (In Love) - Let It Go - I Don't Know Anything - Hold Me - Down Down - We Can Get Over

The album features an all-star cast of musicians including: Clive MacNutt on guitar and bass-Lukas Pearse on bass-drummers Benn Ross and Dave Marsh, Anne Simons of the Blue Engine String Quartet and the NSCC Choir

Erin produced and arranged the album and the album explores sweeping string arrangements and lush harmonies. Erin says it's love, passion, aging and spirituality, All the things you start to think about as you get a little bit older.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album 5 stars out of 5 stars rating on its rating list. A great listening jazz album and is a welcome CD to all jazz lovers librairies.
