The Jimmy Zee Band is back on the road with a new CD, RIDE, another funky, smoking road house blues recording. Ride features a collection of new original songs plus a stellar version of Rush's (Working Man), done like you/ve never heard before.

The sound is funky and soulful, maintaining a balance between smooth jazz and new blues while featuring solos reminicent of great classic rock.

The band was nominated for Blues Recording of the Year by the Western Canadian Music Awards for 2010's DEVIL TAKE ME DOWN.

The new CD, Ride, contains10 songs, 9 of which were written by Jimmy Zee. The song, Working Man was written by Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee of Rush.

Here are the song titles:

Ride - Devil Woman - Feels Alright To Me

Working Man - Get More - Friend of Mine

I Want ToLive - Fallen Angel -Shot of Whiskey - Hearts

Jimmy's music comes straight from the heart and the gravel-throated Mr Zee plays blues guitar with feeling , plenty of volume and a great tone. This new CD has all these elements.

The album was co-produced by Jimmy Zee and Mark Henning and recorded at Gotham Studios.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album top ratings on its rating list in the Blues category and the album should reap award nominations in 2012.
